Two of my works have received the honor of being selected for The 24th Annual Chelsea International Juried Fine Art Competition in New York City. This prestigious collective exhibit will be held at Agora Gallery, in the heart of the Chelsea District and is billed as New York's most anticipated annual art event.
The Chelsea International is typically juried by top art world professionals, like the directors of The Guggenheim or Chelsea Museums, with this year's event juried by Mr. Ira Goldberg, executive director of The Art Students League of New York.
My wife, Judy, and I will attend the opening reception for the artists on Thursday, August 20. Both pieces selected are pictured here and were painted en plein air, at Krk, Croatia, during our 3 month painting trip to Europe, in 2008.
