In addition, I will be participating in the annual "Observing Oregon" 3 day invitational paint-out at Yoshida's Fine Art Gallery in Portland, Oregon. There will be 10 artists altogether painting en plein air at three different sites during the event, including: The Sandy River, near Troutdale, Sauvies Island in the Columbia River and downtown Portland. The paint-out will culminate with an opening at Yoshida's Gallery during the first Thursday art walk on August 3rd, with an artists' reception from 5-9 p.m. Over 25,000 people come-out for these art walks and visit several dozen galleries.
