Prepping for Zion Plein Air Invitational event

Lots of packing and driving from Lopez Island, Washington for this much anticipated event- @ 1400 miles. Today we simply rode the bus through the park and spent the entire afternoon hiking/exploring only 2 spots along the way.

The looks on the faces of every hiker along the trail were just as happy as mine and seemed to reflect the special aura of this place . . . maybe a greater connection with ourselves in an environment removed from all we know. Whatever it is, I am just as ready to respond with a few strokes of pigment in my own concert with the ancient painters whose work is still visible on the walls.
