2013 Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters Annual Art Auction

As a signature member of The Puget Sound Group of Northwest Painters , I am participating in the group's annual 2013 Benefit Art Auction, Saturday, October 19 at The Seattle Design Center, 1-5 p.m.

This is our annual “members' dues” auction that funds the organization and makes us able to donate major art scholarship monies to northwest schools. All members must donate one framed, finished original work of art to this auction, every year, as our dues.

My donation, this year, is “Marking Time and Pushing 100”, pictured here. I did this en plein air at the old Davis Homestead, on Lopez Island, four years ago and consider it to be one of my best ever plein air pieces. It's fitting that the old farm house did actually turn 100 this year, and was featured on the Lopez Island Home Tour. The original pastel is in a beautiful gold frame (18.5 x 22.5”) with non-glare museum glass and carries a market value of $1800.

Most paintings at this auction sell for less than 1/3rd market value, so it's a great (and economical) way to enhance your art collection, plus have fun seeing and bidding on the 60 plus original works of art by many noted northwest artists.

Seattle Design Center is located at 5701 6th Avenue – the gallery and auction will be found on the second Floor Plaza Building. Preview art on-line at www.psgart.org or in person at SDC. There will be catered food and refreshments, as well. The live auction starts at 3:30 p.m. Reservations are required ($25), due by October 12th . . . and can be made on-line by email: Charles@charlesfawcett.com
