I was honored to receive the second place award at the 5th Annual Plein Air Washington and San Juan Preservation Trust Summer Social and plein air Art Event, yesterday on Shaw Island.
The piece “Lookout Point II” was painted en plein air at Upright Head, a one mile hike over the hill, from the Lopez Island ferry Landing. Early morning backlight provided a great contrast for the trees, steep cliffs and rocks below.
