Intense color everywhere, especially around the waters of the Ligurian Sea. The buildings surrounding the sea are all colored in warm complementary hues revivifying the light that stikes their surfaces. It all seems so surreal looking in from that dominant torquise water, as I was when this was painted in mid-morning. The original of this piece is at Pacific Marine Gallery in Bellingham WA.
