About this work
The Lochsa (Pronounced Lock Saw) River in north eastern Idaho flows 70 miles through some of the most rugged wilderness in the U.S. It's name means "rough water" in Nez Perce language and it lives up to that especially in the spring when white water rafters & Kayakers descend through the rapids to try their luck. This was painted just downstream from the Powell Ranger Station, along a beautiful stretch of river in the fall.
