About this work
Painted en plein air at Zion in November 2013. I arrived early and waited for the sun to highlight the mountain behind creating a shadowy outline of the mountain in the foreground. Painted under a dozen mountain climbers and had wild turkeys graze nearby. Lots of excitment on this chilly morning painting.
