Autumn Legacy, Truckee

Truckee, California near Donner's Pass has a vibrant "old west" small town feel that this wild river helps define and preserve. Even the first transcontinental railroad runs right through town. 6000' above sea level is not for the faint of heart - the river here proves that out with icy waters, year round.
