About this work

This section of the Lochsa River in northern Idaho is about 5 miles downstream from the present day Powell Ranger Station and is where the Lewis and Clark Expedition traveled by water, once they finally crossed the continental divide @1805 at Lolo.

This section of river is completely wild and looks just as formidable to navigate now as it did 200 plus years ago with the expeditions primitive water craft.
