About this work
This estuary on the south end of Lopez Island is adjacent to Mud bay and the spit road.
The sunlight weaves through marsh grass and sedge, forming interesting sky patterns in the crystalline water.
It' a natural clam and crab nursery and one of my favorite places to paint on Lopez Island.
