Island Icon in Evening Light

This barn overlooks the Straits of Juan de Fuca on the south end of Lopez Island, near the old Richardson Store area. I have painted here before, but not in such soft warm springtime light, which gave the whole area a kind of liquid glow. The far distant snow capped Olympic Mountains had a lovely creamy orange glow that caught the last rays of the sun. Framed in extra wide brown wood molding, with burnished gold filet and protected with Optium Museum Acylic.
