Spring Bloom, Yellow Island

Painted during a special field trip for 50 artists of all disciplines organized by the Friends of the San Juan Islands. Yellow Island is a part of and under the protection of The Nature Conservancy. It has the most abundant natural plant life of all the islands,  with a myriad of wild flowers. I was thrilled to be invited to go on this special artists' exploration day, by Eva Schulte, executive director of The Friends of the San Juan Islands!
