A Day in the Sun

Painted at the Albrecht Farm overlooking Richardson Bay on Lopez Island. This field has a curve-linear shape that just grabbed me the minute I saw it, taking me back in time to my childhood farming roots in Idaho

Unlike where I grew-up, the bright summer sun illuminates the darker coastal rocks along its edge, squarely placing this field in a soft, warm glow against the cool, liquid light of the Salish Sea.
