painted entirely en plein air from my property on Lopez Island, a neighbors boat on the hook, with stunning back light illuminating the bay. Fall colors everywhere on the distant shore!

This painting was selected (November 21, 2023) as a Top 100 Finalist in Plein Air Magazine's 13th Annual $ 50,000 Plein Air Salon Art Competition, judged by John Manazari, owner/director, Meyer Gallery, Santa Fe, NM. This is my 4th award in 2023 (with 4 different paintings) in this annual competition.
