Cole Road Farm

This old farm house and property once belonged to Howard Cole, Famed Tsunami expert and long-time Lopez Island farmer. This farm house sits back about a mile from the nearest paved road on the south end of Lopez Island and is now owned by Gary Buffum, (half of the Buffum Brothers Farms) who has preserved its rural beauty. I caught this peaceful scene on a sunny August day and am thankful for places like this that make Lopez Island what it is.
