Sun Shadows at the Rocky R

This hay field exudes an aura of peace, like an electric undercurrent. It overlooks Davis Bay on the southerly end of Lopez Island against the Olympic Mountains shimmering iridescent blue, far across across the Straits of Juan de Fuca. The barn was built in 1905 by Don Burt, Sr., Sr. I believe. His great grandson (Don) and wife Le Ann cut and bale the hay every year, to store away.
