Murphy's Baech, Molokai

This beach on the east side of Milokai Island (AKA 20 mile beach) has protection from the trade winds blowing in from behind a giant rock behind me. Calm, even on a "weather warn" day with huge swells and breakers coming across from Maui.

Turtles love this beach! The distant rocks are part of an old fish trap built hundreds of years ago by Hawaiians - an ingenious method used to farm wild fish using a sustainable method. It exudes a peaceful feeling for all who are lucky enough to visit.
