My last Plein Air Painting of 2020, the strangest, most ethereal year I've ever witnessed. I was looking for a place to paint a nebulous subject, something that personified my feelings about 2020 . . . and came upon these fog layers across the fields, at Horse Drawn Farm, Lopez Island. The sun was just getting into the act, but I was able to catch it before the fog burned off. It's my greatest hope that 2021 will light-up and throw 2020 way back into the rear view mirror, for all of us.
